‘Inside The NBA’ Squad Bares Feet For Charity

Viewers should forgive TNT’s Inside the NBA team for putting their bare feet up Sunday night.

In an effort to raise awareness for Samaritan’s Feet, a charitable organization whose mission is to help outfit impoverished children worldwide with 10 million pairs of shoes over the next decade, TNT announcers Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will go barefoot on the NBA Studio Show tonight following the “drama” network’s coverage of the fourth game of the NBA playoff series between the New Orleans Hornets and San Antonio Spurs.

Samaritan’s Feet founder Emmanuel “Manny” Ohonme will join the crew for a feature segment supplying the background on Samaritan’s Feet, as well as information about how to get involved and donate to the organization.

In addition, sponsors AutoTrader.com, Converse, Protégé, a shoe company founded by Golden State Warriors teammates Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington, Turner Sports and NBA Cares will make donations of shoes and money to the charity.

Samaritan’s Feet garnered national attention earlier this year when Indiana University, Purdue University at Indianapolis head basketball coach Ron Hunter coached in his bare feet on Jan. 24 to help raise money and shoes for the organization.
