A federal judge in Alexandria, Va., said Friday he would decide within 10 days whether to minimize the role of the National Association of Broadcasters in the direct-broadcast satellite industry's challenge to a law mandating carriage of local-TV stations in served markets in 2002, DBS attorney Andrew McBride said.
SBCA opposes the NAB's request for broad intervention in the must-carry case, which it said could lead to months of discovery and perhaps a long trial.
