Emmys 2016: Julia Louis-Dreyfus Notches Fifth Straight Best Comedy Actress Award
Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus Sunday continued her consecutive Emmy award run as the best actress in a comedy series for her role as fictional vice president Selina Meyer in HBO’s Veep.
Louis-Dreyfuswonher fifth consecutive award in the category during Sunday's Emmys Awards presentation, besting competitors Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Laurie Metcalf (Getting On), Tracee Ellis Ross, (black-ish); Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) and Lily Tomlin (Grace and Frankie)
Veep will look to win the best comedy series award for the second consecutive year later this evening during the Emmys Awards telecast.
