Kia Backs TBS' Interactive Friends
TBS Superstation and Kia Motors America Inc. announced Tuesday that the
automaker is the exclusive launch sponsor of the interactive Friends on
TBS.
TBS, which carries Friends weekdays at 7:30 p.m., began offering
various hitherto unseen interactive content Monday, including rapid-fire trivia
questions and live polls. There also are questions about Kia's history and
vehicles.
The interactive-TV content and commercials are being produced and hosted by
interactive-TV provider GoldPocket Interactive.
As part of its deal, Kia sponsors on-air promotional spots and an online
presence on TBS' Web site.
TBS has been experimenting with similar interactivity for its 'Dinner & A
Movie' franchise to good effect since February, general sales manager Linda
Yaccarino said in a prepared statement.
