Kojak Solves USA’s Ratings Mystery

published The premiere of USA Network original drama Kojak Friday earned a 3.9 Nielsen Media Research household rating and drew 4.5 million viewers, the network said.
Kojak was the top-rated nonsports basic-cable program in primetime among households and total viewers for the week, as well as Friday night's most-watched show on cable among viewers 25-54, USA said.
The network added that the series’ debut was the highest-rated and most-watched new series premiere on basic cable this year.
