Level 3 Communications Inc. has formed a new voice-over-Internet-protocol technology-alliance program that includes a handful of vendors operating in cable's VoIP space.
The program allows participants to integrate their gear with Level 3's IP-based soft-switch platform and VoIP services.
Among those companies signed up for the program are Acme Packet, Avaya Inc., BroadSoft Inc., Convedia Corp., CosmoCom Inc., dynamicsoft Inc., Edgewater Networks Inc., IP Unity, Lucent Technologies, Netrake, Polycom Inc., Sonus Networks Inc., Spectel Inc., Sylantro Systems Corp., Telica, Ubiquity Software Corp. and Vail Systems Inc.
