LG Electronics Inc. has started shipping a 160-gigabyte digital-video recorder that includes Microsoft Corp.’s “Program Guide” to retailers.
The LG “LRM-519” carries a retail price of $599. Consumers can then buy the Microsoft guide for $9.99 per month, $99.99 per year or $249 for a lifetime subscription.
The device is a combination DVD player and DVR.
