ENGLEWOOD, COLO.-Liberty Media Group Inc. and London-based private equity firm Klesch & Co. Ltd. said Friday they signed a letter of intent to buy 55 percent of six cable companies owned by German telephone giant Deutsche Telekom.
Liberty and Klesch get interests in regional cable television franchises in the German states of Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Bremen, Rhineland Palatinate, Saar, Saxony, Saxony Anhalt and Thuringia. The DT cable assets pass about 10 million homes.
