Liberty Media Corp. will use Sandvine Inc.'s software to monitor network traffic for its various broadband companies.
Sandvine said its product suite will be distributed to more than 40 Liberty-affiliated Internet-service providers, which pass 25 million homes.
Sandvine's programmable intelligence software allows ISPs to classify subscriber applications, recognize and address network threats, guarantee service levels and create tiers of service.
