Lifetime Greenlights Trio of Original Movies Based on Jane Green Novels
Lifetime will produce three feature movies based on novels by best-selling author Jane Green, the network announced Thursday.
Actress Kim Raver and her husband, producer Manu Boyer, will executive produce the films along with Green, Dave Fleming and Shane Salerno, according to Lifetime.
Actress Alyssa Milano will star in the first of the three movies, Tempting Fate, which follows the story of mother-who puts her marriage in jeopardy when she meets a handsome younger man who seemingly ignites a fire and desire within her.
The other two movies include To Have and to Hold, which centers on a young woman who marries her high school crush and willingly allows him to mold her into his ideal socialite wife; and Family Pictures, which follows two strangers living on opposite coasts whose daughters befriend each other and discover a shocking secret that threatens to tear both families apart.
"Jane Green's novels are addictive, fun, juicy and wise - just like a great Lifetime Movie - so to bring the two genres together is incredibly thrilling," Lifetime and LMN executive vice president of limited series and original movie acquisitions Tanya Lopez in a statement "With Kim set to direct and Alyssa as the star to kick off the first of the series by Jane, it is the perfect trifecta.”
