Richard Gay wears many hats as he juggles supervision of strategic partnerships and operation initiatives for VH1, CMT and the brands’ digital channels VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul, VHUno, Tempo and CMT Pure Country.
“I was excited when I decided to join VH1 and CMT, but I didn’t know what to expect,” said Gay, who was recently promoted to executive vice president of strategy and business operations. “Even my best guess fell way short of what I’ve had the privilege of being a part of at MTV Networks.”
Before joining MTVN, Gay was a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he worked in the firm’s global media and entertainment practice. He has also appeared as an industry expert on CNBC and ABC World News This Morning.
“I feel like I found the job that I was meant to have,” Gay said.
