LodgeNet Entertainment Corp. will provide HDTV services to Marriott International Inc.’s The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. L.L.C. subsidiary under terms of a deal announced Thursday.
LodgeNet will install its latest “sigNETure TV” platform in some 11,000 guest rooms, along with additional properties the vendor does not currently serve.
“It was important to us that LodgeNet has been actively contributing to and adopting emerging industry standards for secure delivery of premium HDTV content into hotels,” Marriott International senior vice president of information-technology strategy Barry Shuler said in a prepared statement.
“LodgeNet's solution gives us a solid foundation for meeting our high standards and those of our guests today and into the future as the company continues to pursue innovations,” he added.
