Mallard Cablevision LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last
Friday after defaulting on loans, AP reported.
The Traverse City, Mich.-based MSO listed $69 million in assets and $102
million in debts.
Also filing were SM Cable Holdings LLC, which owns 100 percent of the
membership interests of Mallard, as well as affiliates SunTel Communications LLC
and Mallard Holdings Inc.
Mallard provided cable-television services to 59,000 subscribers in
nonmetropolitan markets in 11 states.
