Malone: Don’t Fit Turner for Braves Jersey

Liberty Media Corp. chairman John Malone isn’t clearing a roster spot on Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves for former owner Ted Turner.

Liberty may acquire the club from current owner Time Warner Inc. as part of an effort to redeem redeeming a major portion of its 4% stake in Time Warner for a combination of cash and nonstrategic assets, according to AP.

Malone said after a speech at a fund-raiser for the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center Business School Wednesday that he hadn't talked with Turner, but "I don't believe he's interested," AP reported.
