March Madness Extends To YouTube Channel
NCAA Digital has tipped off the initial NCAA March Madness YouTube Channel.
The channel, managed by Turner Digital, will feature real-time highlights and video recaps from all 67 games of the upcoming 2015 NCAA Men’s Division 1 Basketball Championship. Other content will include live press conferences, game previews and analysis and daily notes from the tournament airing linearly on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.
It will launch with archival video clips from memorable moments from last year’s version of Madness, including Ohio State’s Aaron Craft missed shot against Dayton; buzzer beaters from Kentucky’s Aaron Harrison; Mercer’s huge upset win over Duke (pictured); and UConn’s dramatic run to the title.
“Our new partnership with YouTube gives college basketball fans more ways to discover and watch the plays and storylines that everyone will be talking about during March Madness, ” said Mark Johnson, vice president of business operations, Turner Sports. “Tapping into the power and reach of YouTube’s video platform opens up new opportunities for us to grow interest and consumption of March Madness.”
