Evan Marriott, of Joe Millionaire fame, has signed up to host a new relationship program, Fake-a-Date, on Game Show Network, officials said Wednesday.
In Fake-a-Date,which debuts in March, a contestant will be paired with two singles of the opposite sex and have to pick one at the end of the dual date. The twist is that while one of the singles is really looking for love, the other is just a pretender who is trying to win a luxury trip that they will take with their real significant other.
If the contestant makes the wrong choice, the pretender will walk away with the vacation with their significant other. If the contestant picks the person really looking for love, they will go on the grand-prize vacation together.
As the show’s host, Marriott will act as confidante to the participants and offer advice.
