Maya Entertainment, In Demand Reach Distribution Deal
Hispanic-targeted content company Maya Entertainment last week inked a deal with In Demand for distribution of its video on demand movies.
The deal, which includes distribution of Maya's library of films, comes on the heels of an April distribution deal reached with TVN Entertainment. Maya will offer
"As the VOD business continues to grow, Maya is staying ahead of the trend by actively ramping up our VOD footprint," stated Maya Entertainment co-chairman Jeff Valdez. "This agreement will bring our robust library of quality films into the homes of millions of cable subscribers who will now be able to instantly enjoy great films that cater to their unique interests."
In Demand executive vice president David Asch said that Maya's Hispanic-themed films will help better diversify In Demand's VOD offerings.
"Because of their unique understanding of the Latino market and unparalleled library of Latino themed films, Maya represents the ideal partner to help us deliver a greater variety of content to this important demographic group," Asch said.
