Mediacom to Carry Entertainment Studios’ Comedy.TV, Pets.TV
Entertainment Studios has reached a carriage deal with Mediacom Communications for two of its high-definition channels, Comedy.Tv and Pets.TV, the company announced Wednesday.
The multi-year distribution deal calls for Medicom – the fifth largest cable operator – to distribute the Byron Allen-owned channels via its linear, on demand and TV Everywhere platforms, said company officials.
“This deal for carriage of our Comedy.TV and Pets.TV branded networks is important to us, and we are thrilled to have reached a long-term agreement with Mediacom,” said Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Entertainment Studios in a statement.
Added Italia Commisso Weinand, Mediacom’s Executive Vice President of Programming and Human Resources: “These networks deliver a unique and entertaining mix of today’s funniest comedians, stand-up comedy performances, sitcoms, and pet lifestyle shows. This type of programming is popular with our customers."
