Adelphia Communications Corp. will deploy C-COR Inc. gear in two of its markets.
The MSO will convert its ad-insertion system in West Palm Beach, Fla., to C-COR gear, joining Adelphia systems in Puerto Rico; Los Angeles; Cleveland; Buffalo, N.Y.; Yuma, Ariz.; Hilton Head, S.C.; and Staunton, Va.
The West Palm Beach deployment covers 10 advertising zones and 440 insertion channels.
And Adelphia will upgrade its Cleveland market to C-COR's “Gigabit Ethernet (GigE)” digital-program-insertion platform. The Cleveland rollout covers 11 advertising zones and 450 insertion channels and marks Adelphia's first rollout of GigE DPI with C-COR.
“C-COR's overall flexibility in supporting analog, DPI and digital simulcast from one platform enables us to deploy reliable systems in these critical markets,” Adelphia Media Services senior vice president Jack Olson said in a prepared statement.
