Motor Trend Speeds Into TV

Publisher Primedia Inc. will launch a digital-multicast network, Motor Trend TV, next year in a partnership with Multicast Networks Group, officials said Wednesday.

Motor Trend TV will be created exclusively for multicast using local-broadcast digital spectrum. Its programming -- 80% of which will be original -- will draw from Primedia’s portfolio of automotive properties, which includes 57 magazines.

MNG -- which specializes in bringing broadcasters content tailored for the multicast environment -- will provide the infrastructure for Motor Trend TV.
