Widevine Technologies Inc. said Motorola Inc. has signed an agreement to use its “Widevine Cypher” content-security solution for Motorola's multiservice-access platform.
Motorola will integrate Widevine's “Virtual SmartCard” and application-level encryption with its video-over-xDSL (digital subscriber line) and fiber-to-the-home platforms. Both companies plan to market the solution to their telco customers.
