Motorola Inc. will acquire fiber-to-the-premises solutions-provider Quantum Bridge Communications Inc., the company announced Tuesday.
Andover, Mass.-based Quantum Bridge provides FTTP -- including fiber-to-the-home and fiber-to-the-business -- solutions designed to address bandwidth bottlenecks in access networks.
The all-cash transaction is expected to occur during the second quarter, Motorola said.
