Movie Time at Hallmark Channel
Hallmark Channel announced several upcoming Hallmark Channel Original movies.
Originals set for the network include:
• Where There’s a Will, premiering Saturday, May 6 from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. (EST/PST), stars Marion Ross (Happy Days) as a woman “who has just about given up on life and needs help taking care of her large home -- and herself.”
• Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) stars as “a maverick archeologist racing against an unscrupulous rival to find the tomb of King Tutankhamen, unaware that the prize they seek will unleash the ancient demons that reside with the dead,” in The Curse of King Tut’s Tomb, debuting Saturday, May 27 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
• Angus MacFadyen (The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood) will play the title role and Stacy Keach will portray the pirate captain undone by Blackbeard’s ruthless cunning in Blackbeard, debuting Saturday, June 17 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
• DesolationCanyon stars Keach and Patrick Duffy (Dallas) in a tale about two aging gunmen in the Old West. It will air Saturday, July 1 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
• A Los Angeles policeman and his teen-age daughter find ranch life more challenging than they expected in Wild Hearts, starring Richard Thomas (Emmy Award winner for The Waltons), Nancy McKeon (The Division, Facts of Life) and Hallee Hirsh (ER, JAG). Wild Hearts premieres Saturday, July 15 from 9 p.m.-11 p.m.

• Hallmark travels to Camelot in Merlin’s Apprentice, starring Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III) and Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) in a search for the Holy Grail. It debuts Saturday, Sept. 2 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
• Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill), Campbell Scott (Dying Young, Follow the Stars Home) and Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal, The Agency) star in Final Days of Planet Earth, which the network described as a “classic alien-invasion story.” It will premiere Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
