MTVN International Names President
Bob Bakish was named president of MTV Networks International.
Bakish had been executive vice president, operations and Viacom Enterprises at MTVN parent Viacom, responsible for strategic planning, business development, Famous Music, Viacom Plus and IS&T. He also led the company's cross-divisional marketing council.
At MTVNI, he will take on day-to-day management responsibility including local and regional operations across Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, as well as international functions and business units. He reports to MTVN vice chairman Bill Roedy.
Viacom also announced that it promoted Wade Davis to senior VP of strategy, mergers and acquisitions, where he will assume Bakish’s former duties.
Davis had been senior VP of mergers and acquisitions for Viacom.
