Music Choice Joins Cablevision’s TV to GO Lineup
Cablevision Systems has added Music Choice to Optimum TV to GO, the operator’s authenticated TV Everywhere platform, enabling customers to access on-demand content from the programmer on PC browsers, tablets and smartphones whether they are in or outside the home.
Cablevision noted that the launch is a result of a renewed, extended affiliate deal that made the operator the first service provider to carry Music Choice’s “premier services” of more than 46 commercial-free music channels and thousands of videos via an authenticated TV Everywhere service.
Cablevision Optimum TV subs can access Music Choice via Optimum TV to GO online at www.optimum.net/TVtoGO, where they will need to input their Optimum ID and password.
“Music Choice’s wide variety has tunes for everyone, and now Optimum TV customers can find and listen to their favorites with Music Choice on Optimum TV to GO. Customers can either select a genre or find the hit they want to hear anytime, anywhere,” said Bradley Feldman, Cablevision’s vice president of video product management, in a statement. “We have a long relationship with Music Choice, and we are also pleased that we extended our partnership.”
Other networks that are part of Cablevision’s TV to GO lineup include CNBC, AMC, IFC, We, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, Disney Jr. BTN, YES Network, BET, Bravo, CNN, Fox News, and Comedy Central, among others. From the premium TV realm, Cablevision’s Web-based authenticated TV Everywhere portal also supports HBO Go, Max Go, Showtime Anytime, Starz Play and Encore Play.
