NAMIC Pushing Forward on Diversity Study
The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications and DiversityInc have entered phase three.
The two parties said Friday that they have begun collecting data for the third phase of their study, “Redefining the Spectrum: The Multi-Ethnic Connection.”
Data collection will continue through July 16, and results will be revealed at the 18th Annual NAMIC Conference, Sept. 19-21 in New York.
“Our industry has made great strides in providing equal opportunities for people of color, but there is much more that we can do," said Jenny Alonzo, president of NAMIC and vice president of production and operations at Lifetime Television, in a prepared statement.
“Our employment research will help us to pinpoint where the cable industry is with diversity hiring and retention programs and in developing initiatives that continue to support this important industry endeavor,” she added.
