Naruto -- the animé series centering around Uzumaki Naruto, a rebellious ninja in training -- will make its English-language debut on Cartoon Network Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. during the service’s "Toonami" block.
The series trails the exploits of an orphaned teenager with a demon within who must learn to control his special powers as he studies to become a ninja master.
Naruto
debuted in Japan in 2002 and has already acquired a huge fan base in the U.S. through DVD sales and bootleg tapes, according to network officials.
