Nationals Play Ball with Verizon
Mid-Atlantic Sports Network will be part of the Verizon FiOS TV lineup when Verizon Communications Inc. brings the service to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, the regional Bell operating company said Wednesday.
MASN is the television home of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals. The regional sports network aired 156 of the club’s games during this past season.
“Verizon is putting the fans first by ensuring that its customers will be able to watch their home team play ball," MASN executive vice president and general manager Bob Whitelaw said in a prepared statement. "For the Nationals, for baseball and, most important, for the fans, MASN applauds Verizon and their exceptional and responsible customer service."
In other Verizon FiOS TV news, Trinity Broadcasting Network announced Wednesday that it was included in the lineup when the service launched in Keller, Texas, Sept. 22.
The Verizon FiOS TV lineup included TBN, The Church Channel, youth network JCTV and Spanish-language inspirational network TBN Enlace USA.
