NBA Finals: 15 Million See Heat Knot Series
With the air-conditioning system in AT&T Center in full whirr, the NBA Finals heated up with Game 2 as LeBron James and the Miami Heat evened matters with the San Antonio Spurs.
For its part, ABC averaged 15.006 million viewers, up 3% from 14.6 million watchers for the second game of the Heat-Spurs Finals encounter in 2013.
Coupled with the 14.85 million viewers for the series opener – which the Spurs won as the AC system faltered and James was forced to the bench with cramps – the first two games have averaged 14.9 million watchers, up 4% from their counterparts a year ago.
Game 2 helped ABC win the night across all of television, marking the 39th consecutive time the Finals have lifted the Alphabet network in that fashion.
Game 3 tips off tonight on ABC at 9 p.m. from South Beach.
