New York— The National Basketball Association is expanding its “NBA Inside Ticket” premium broadband subscription package, and adding significant content to its wireless offerings for the new season.
The pro hoops league said it will offer a standalone Inside Ticket subscription for Spanish-language fans. The package includes audio feeds of all NBA games, plus a two-minute video highlights package of each game.
On the wireless front, the roundball circuit signed a deal with THQ Wireless to bring an NBA Fantasy Five fantasy game and NBA Basketball 2005 simulation game to wireless cell phones.
The league also will offer a wireless game tracker application for cell phone users as well as six ring-tone voiceovers from players Chris Webber, Jermaine O’Neal, Elton Brand, Ray Allen, Richard Jefferson and Earl Boykins.
The NBA also said game video highlights will be extended to several Nokia phones.
