NBCU Promotes Perrette To President Digital, Affiliate Distribution
With the transition to digital broadcasting only a dozen days away, NBC Universal has upped digital distribution president Jean-Briac Perrette to president of digital distribution and affiliate distribution.
Perrette will now oversee strategy and tactics for NBC Universal's broadcast distribution, working closely with John Eck, president, NBC Network and Media Works. The company said the move will "better incorporate the broadcast network's distribution into the company's overall distribution strategy." He will also help develop strategy for content distribution on the Internet and mobile devices.
The affiliate relations and marketing units led by Jean Dietze and Scot Chastain now report directly to Perrette, though Chastain, who heads the marketing team, will continue to be a "dotted line" report to John Miller, chief marketing officer, NBC Universal Television Group and president, NBC Agency.
"I look forward to working with JB as we further build our relationship with our affiliates, and identify new ways to navigate through an increasingly complex media environment," said Eck in a statement.
