New England Cable News has hired Tom Roddy as its national sales manager.
Roddy, who joins the regional news network, a partnership between Comcast Corp. and Hearst Corp., on Jan. 10, had been selling time for WBZ-TV (CBS 4) and WSBK-TV (UPN 38) in the Boston market for the past five years, concentrating heavily on moving inventory for Boston Red Sox baseball games.
