NFL Network Doubles Viewers With Combine
With the prospective quarterbacks and wire receivers in view, NFL Network's coverage ot the NFL Combine scored big viewer gain on Saturday.
The league's in-house servive averaged a 0.35 U.S. household rating, translating into 529,000 viewers on Saturday, Feb. 21, according to Nielsen data. That was up 84% and 91%, respectibvely, from the 0.19 household mark and 277,000 watchers on Feb. 22, 2014.
The NFL moved the combine to a Friday-Monday format, whereas it previously aired from Saturday through Tuesday.
The change put top quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota going through their throwing and drill paces on Saturday, given fans a better chance to check out the measurable activities from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indinanapolis.
