NFL Network Scores 27% Growth With Combine Coverage

More pro football fans were in tune with the NFL Combine than ever before.
A record 6.6 million viewers tuned in NFL Network's exclusive coverage of the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine Presented by Under Armour from Feb. 26 through March 1, according to Nielsen.That marked a 27% increase over 5.2 million watchers in 2010 and a 78% gain over the 3.7 million viewers in 2007.
In addition, users accessed 9.3 million views of Combine videos on NFL.com, a 50% uptick compared to last year, while fans spent 24% more time on NFL.com live, according to league officials. NFL.com's mobile website, m.NFL.com, soared 289% with unique users over 2010. Further, 76% of NFL Mobile Only From Verizon subscribers watched video coverage of Combine events.
The NFL Scouting Combine is part of NFL Network's "Path to Primetime" programming leading into the 2011 NFL Draft in April. The Combine viewership follows a successful 2010 season that featured a record 63.4 million viewers that watched watched NFL Network during last season (Sept.16, 2010-Feb. 6, 2011).

With a total day average audience year-to-year increase of 16% during the season, NFL Network had the highest percentage growth increase of any cable sports network, according to league officials.
