Nickelodeon boasted that it scored a clean sweep against its broadcast and cable competition in the May sweep, finishing No. 1 with kids in national ratings on Saturday mornings, weekday afternoons and in primetime, according to Nielsen Media Research data supplied by Nick.
For the full 1999-2000 season, however, Nick and The WB Television Network were tied for first place among children on Saturday mornings. Both posted a 4.0 rating and 17 share for kids two to 11. And Nick racked up a strong performance during the May sweep on weekday afternoons, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with kids. Nick finished No. 1 with a 3.1 national rating and 20 share, or 1.3 million viewers, 48 percent ahead of its closest competitor.
