Nicktoons Adds Network to Name

Nicktoons officially becameNicktoons Network Friday.

The Nickelodeon spinoff, which recently became ad-supported, targets kids 6-14, and 75% of its fare is exclusive, the network said.

Nicktoons Network also unveiled new packaging both on-air and on its new Web site (www.NicktoonsNetwork.com).

“We are thrilled to see Nicktoons Network expand from showcasing classic Nicktoons hits to a network with its own identity and original programming,” Nickelodeon Digital Television executive vice president and general manager Tom Ascheim said in a prepared statement.
