Nielsen Ups TV Household Rating Estimate

published Nielsen Media Research announced Tuesday that it is revising upward its
estimates for U.S. television households as well as for the average household
rating for the 2003-04 TV season.
The total number of U.S. TV homes will be 108.4 million effective with the TV
week starting Monday Sept. 1, when each national rating point will represent 1%
or 1.08 million TV homes, Nielsen said.
Last season there were 106.7 million TV homes, translating to 1.06 million
homes per rating point.
