'Nip/Tuck's Final Slice: March 3
Dr. Troy and Dr. McNamara will perform their unique brand of plastic and emotional surgery for the last time on March 3.
FX set its midseason schedule today, which will see the final season of Nip/Tuck, starring Julian McMahon as Christian Troy and Dylan Walsh as Sean McNamara, begin on Jan. 6 at 10 p.m.
The final nine episodes of the plastic surgeon series' seventh season will premiere consecutively on Wednesday nights in that time slot, culminating with the series concluder, its 100 episode, on March 3, 2010. Guest stars for the final season include Melanie Griffith, Joan Rivers, Mario Lopez, Frances Conroy, Donna Mills and Joan Van Ark.
FX officials said new animated spy comedy series Archer will bow on Jan. 14 at 10 p.m. Before Archer's bow on Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) will be the FX premiere of the theatrical The Simpsons Movie, with the network's premiere of Superbad set for Jan. 17. Other movie highlights in early 2010 are Spiderman 3 and Live Free or Die Hard.
The third season of the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning drama Damages will start on Monday Jan. 25.
Elsewhere, FX's new drama Justified (formerly Lawman), starring Timothy Olyphant debuts in March, while the new comedy Louie, starring Louis C.K., will launch in the spring.
