No Harlem Nights for BET
By MCN Staff
published Less than two years after Black Entertainment Television opened a studio in
Harlem, the network said it was shutting it down to take a larger -- and,
inevitably, less expensive -- space at Viacom Inc.'s CBS Broadcast Center.
BET used the studio to produce its music programming, including popular
request show 106 & Park.

'cultural center' for African Americans.
