Independent cable rep firm Viamedia has named industry veteran Joe Noonan as COO.
In his role at Lexington, Ky.-based Viamedia, Noonan is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the organization. He reports directly to Viamedia president and CEO Jeff Carter.
Noonan began his career in cable advertising 18 years ago with Metrobase Cable Advertising. His career also includes stints as general manager for TCI Media Services in Warren, Ohio and general manager for Time Warner Cable'sdivision serving the Albany, N.Y. area. In 2001, Noonan was elevated to regional vice president for the North East Region for Time Warner Cable Media Sales.
During his Time Warner tenure, Noonan was instrumental in the formation of interconnects and the centralization of operations, as well as the operator’s launch of video on demand and interactive products.
