Six months after dropping OLN, EchoStar Communications Corp. returned the Comcast Corp.-backed network to its Dish Network direct-broadcast satellite lineup Monday night in time for the 7 p.m. (EST) New York Rangers-New Jersey Devils National Hockey League playoff game.
OLN lost 3 million subscribers when EchoStar dropped the channel in October after a carriage dispute involving a new rate card OLN pushed after it acquired NHL cable rights.
While OLN has secured a spot on Dish, the channel won’t be distributed to all EchoStar customers. Only subscribers to its “America’s Top 180” package will get the network.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
