Outdoor Channel has joined the broadly distributed Digital Preferred tier throughout New England communities served by Comcast as Sept. 29, the network said.
Xfinity TV customers in greater Boston and Springfield, Mass.; Hartford and New Haven, Conn.; Manchester, N.H., and Burlington, Vt., are markets where the channel will now have broader distribution on the MSO.
"We are continuing to make Outdoor Channel available to larger audiences across the country. Our move on Comcast systems in Boston, the seventh largest DMA, along with these other key New England markets, follows a number of significant packaging upgrades for our network and provides us with another platform to showcase our preeminent position as the leader in outdoor content," Tom Hornish, COO of Outdoor Channel, said in a release. "Comcast is a valued partner and we look forward to providing significantly more New England Xfinity subscribers with Outdoor Channel's popular content as we head into the fall hunting season."
