'Xenaphiles,' mark this one down on your viewing calendar: Oxygen will
air a director's cut of the finale of Xena, Warrior Princess Nov. 3 at 9
p.m.
Entitled 'A Friend in Need,' the concluding installment will contain an
additional 16 minutes compared with the finale of the action-adventure show that
originally aired in syndication June 23.
The elongated episode culminates a two-month-long celebration by Oxygen,
which is now the exclusive home of the popular series, starring Lucy Lawless in
the title role and Renee O'Connor as her sidekick, Gabrielle.
On Oct. 28, Oxygen will host a 10-hour Xena marathon, featuring
episodes voted for by fans on www.oxygen.com/xena, and a live television chat. The marathon
is slated from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Oxygen strips Xena Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and it
also airs the skein weekends at 4 p.m. and midnight.
