Oxygen Jumps Into Summer Olympics
Oxygen will offer weekday coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics, beginning in August.
Oxygen’s Olympics presentation will air weekdays from 6 to 8 p.m. ET and include in-depth analysis and exclusive athlete interviews, according to network officials.
The Olympics are the highest-profile sports property Oxygen has offered since carrying WNBA games in 2003.
“I can’t think of a better way for Oxygen to be welcomed into the NBC Universal family than with the Olympics, the industry’s most-cherished property,” said Oxygen and Bravo Media president Lauren Zalaznick in a statement.
All told, NBC Universal properties will provide some 3,600 hours of Summer Games coverage via its broadcast, cable and broadband properties.
