Oxygen Media plans to send up Xena, Warrior Princess before the
syndicated show airs its series finale next weekend.
To pay tribute to the end of the series, Oxygen will showcase its premiere
episode, Sins of the Past (which debuted Sept. 4, 1995), June 23 at 4
p.m., prior to the final installment hitting stations' lineups.
Building to the series' climax, star Lucy Lawless will appear on the
network's daily talk show, Pure Oxygen, June 21 at noon. Lawless will
answer the two best questions posed on Xena/Oxygen message boards (the
interview will also be available on oxygen.com)
During the presentation of Sins of the Past, fans can log on to the
Web site and reminisce about their favorite Xena moments. The chat will
appear on the 'stripe' running across the bottom of the network's screen. At
1:30 June 23, Oxygen will reair the Pure Oxygen interview with
Lawless.
Oxygen -- which regularly strips the action-adventure series Monday through
Friday at 11 a.m. and also presents it Saturdays and Sundays at 4 p.m. and
midnight -- will become the exclusive home to Xena Oct.
