Ozzy Sues Over His PPV Concert
By MCN Staff
published NEW YORK -Rock singer Ozzy Osbourne and several bands that performed at his Ozzfest 2000 concert are suing MCY.com, In Demand and DirecTV Inc. for allegedly illegally distributing the event via pay-per-view.
The lawsuit filed last week in U. S. District Court in California claims distribution rights holder MCY.com did not have the authority to offer the concert on a PPV basis to In Demand and DirecTV. Both distributors aired the event Nov. 10.
An In Demand spokesman said the network "has a binding agreement with the distributor and we intend to honor that agreement."
