Procter & Gamble Co.’s Pantene brand announced Monday that the "Pantene
Pro-Voice Concert" Thursday in New York’s Central Park will feature the three
finalists in the hair-care brand’s annual music competition.
The three finalists were selected from 1,700 entries in Pantene’s third
annual contest for young women and girls aged 14-24. Mya, Vanessa Carlton and
Tweet will be special guest stars.
The winner’s grand prize will be a demo-recording deal with Atlantic Records
and a trip to MTV: Music Television’s 2003Video Music Awards
event at Radio City Music Hall in New York later this month. In addition, she
will be featured in a congratulatory vignette created by MTV for that live
cablecast.
MTV2, meanwhile, will create an hour-long video block with VJ segments taped
during Pantene’s concert. It will air that special Monday, Aug.
