Comcast named former Continental Cablevision and Cable Plus executive Chris Parker director of business services for its coastal region.
In the newly created position, Parker will run the region’s commercial-development and business-services teams, Comcast said.
Parker is a 12-year veteran of the cable industry. He worked previously at Cable Plus in Jacksonville, Fla., handling accounts for multiple dwelling unites and commercial customers. He also worked at Continental Cablevision in Jacksonville.
“Chris has earned my respect in dealing with the complex financial models required to understand the value of commercial deals,” Doug McMillan, regional senior vice president for the Comcast coastal and Gulf Coast regions, said in Thursday’s announcement.
