Paxson Communications Corp. will change its name to Ion Media Networks Inc. assuming approval at its annual meeting of stockholders June 23.
The programmer unveiled a new corporate logo and began doing business under the new name and identity Tuesday.
The company's ticker symbol on the American Stock Exchange will change to "ION" after the name change is approved, continuing to trade under "PAX” until then.
Paxson changed the name of its network from Pax TV to i last June.
