PBS Kids Sprout to Preschoolers: Let’s Go
PBS Kids Sprout will add an interactive afternoon block to its preschool lineup this summer.
Bowing Monday June 25, The Let’s Go Show will air every afternoon from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. with an eye and ear toward encouraging preschoolers to ask questions and be curious about the world around them, according to network officials.
Host Miles (actor Milton Barnes) and his puppy friend, Banjo (voiced by puppeteer Ali Eisner), who loves to play her homemade instrument, will embark on musical journeys in their cardboard car, Carla. Miles will help the 2-5 set discover new things through humor, music and interactive play.
“Sprout's programming is uniquely designed to follow the day of the preschooler from breakfast to bedtime,” senior vice president of programming Andrew Beecham said in a prepared statement. “Whether it's discovering a new song with Miles and Banjo on The Let's Go Show or winding down for bed with Nina and Star on The Good Night Show, Sprout creates opportunities throughout the preschooler's day to invite their families into their world to share meaningful and playful moments together.”
PBS Kids Sprout -- which is available as a linear network, on-demand service and online (http://www.sproutonline.com/index.jsp) -- is a partnership among Comcast, HIT Entertainment, PBS and Sesame Workshop.
